I mean, I can’t say I wouldn’t be so cruel as to *not* send Binghe to the Abyss for 20 years considering I clearly would. For the plot and the angst—
But it’s literally based on the challenge (and a bit of hold them down and odysseus, to be honest). It’s an omegaverse where omegas must establish courtship challenges. And only alphas who complete these challenges will have the opportunity to court those omegas.
So here we have Shen Qingqiu who is an omega who can no longer hide that he is an omega because the strong suppressants played ugly with the Without-a-cure medicines. And now that it’s public knowledge that he’s an omega, well, everyone wants to know what his challenges will be. What will he ask for? What will he do? How difficult will it be to obtain the privilege of courting Shen Qingqiu? And who will get that privilege? (We all know this here.)
And that’s basically the plot heheh it’s too based on the challenge because the original scene that inspired the entire fic came to me while listening to that song. Even if the plot got a little out of hand, eh. So, yeah… I think we know what will happen, in a way xD
